NCC Holds Inter-Agency Meeting To Strengthen Collaboration 560 380 National Commision on Culture

The National Commission on Culture (NCC) has held a significant meeting with sister agencies under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts to discuss ways to integrate their programmes and activities into the Commission’s work plan to strengthen collaboration and promote national cultural development.

The Executive Director of National Commission on Culture, Mr. Wakefield Ackuaku in a brief statement underscored the significance of such collaboration, adding that the meeting marks an important step forward in the Commission’s effort to promote cultural development and collaboration.

He asserted that integrating agencies programmes and activities will help maximize impact, enhance efficiency, and foster national pride and identity.

The Executive Director expressed his excitement about the possibilities such partnership brings and look forward to implementing joint initiatives, sharing best practices and exploring new opportunities to advance their shared goals.

The Director of Dubois Centre for Pan-Africanism, Rev. Reuben K. Kwadzofio presented the Centre’s programmes highlighting initiatives that will promote unity and cultural development.

According to him programmes such as research on Pan-Africanism, an in-depth studies and analysis on Pan-Africanism and exploring it history, principles and relevance in modern times will serve additional importance to the research month in January.

He added that Ghana Night, a cultural event which aims at generating revenue while showcasing Ghanaian entertainment, music and art.

The Director proposed month-by-month breakdown to identify how these programmes can be effectively implemented to set clear objectives, establish partnerships and monitor progress of events and activities.

Mr. Kwadzofio revealed the Centre’s readiness to working with other sister-agencies and stakeholders with the aim of ensuring lasting impact in promoting African unity, cultural development and social justice.
