Madam Janet Nyame Edna
Executive Director

PROFILE
Madam Janet Edna Nyame is the Executive Director for the National Commission on Culture. She is an accomplished educationist with 42 years of experience in the teaching career. She holds Masters degree in University of Cape Coast and Bachelors in Home Economics all from University of Cape Coast. She has vast experience in local Governance rising from an assembly member to vice president of national association of local Authorities of Ghana (NALAG), Chairperson of women caucus of NALAG and West African representatives for women Commission of United cities of local government of Africa, UCLSA.

Mr. Justice M. G. Awuah
Senior Account Officer

PROFILE
Mr. Justice M. G. Awuah is an Accountant at the National Commission on Culture, he has BSc in Administration (Accounting) from the University of Ghana, Accra. He is a staff of Controller and Accountant General Department and seconded to the National Commission on Culture.

 

 

 

Mr. Fio Richardson Commey
Head, REI/A. Director PPME

PROFILE
Fio Richardson Commey is the Ag. Director of the Directorate of Planning, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation. Expert in Cultural Policy Management, Arts and Culture Administration, Theatre Director and Ethnomusicologist. He is a PhD. Candidate in Ethnomusicology in the University of Cape Coast, Ghana and University of Hildesheim, Germany.

 

 

Mrs. Bernice Deh Kumah
Deputy Director

PROFILE
Mrs. Bernice Ann Deh-Kumah is a Deputy Director of Programmes of NCC from January 2013 to date. She co-ordinates programmes of NCC and it’s sixteen Regional Centres. She holds an Executive Master of Governance and Leadership, Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration both from GIMPA, Bachelor Education (Psychology), Cape Coast University and Cultural Heritage Preservation Certificate from Bureau of Educational Affairs, USA.

Mr. Kingsely Saa-I Gyiru
Senior Budget Officer

PROFILE
Mr. Kingsley Saa-I Gyiru is the Budget officer at the National Commission on Culture, he completed Institute of Accountancy Training school and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) with the diploma of Pubic Accountancy and Certificate of Administration and Management respectively

 

Madam Akosua Abdallah (PhD)
CYCC Director

PROFILE
Akosua Abdallah is the Director of the Community Cultural Youth Centre, an agency under the National Commission on Culture and the president of the international theatre institute. She holds a PHD in Theatre development at the university of Education, Winneba, and master’s degree in fine Arts from university of Ghana

 

Professor Nick Nana Nketiah
Policy Advisor

PROFILE
Professor Nick Nana Nketiah is the Policy Advisor for the National Commission on Culture. He has Doctorate in divinity, theology and philosophy from Grace bible and Seminary from North Carolina, Doctorate in Economics from college Station in Texas.

Mrs. Ama Amponsah Painstil
Head, Public Relations

PROFILE
Ama Amponsah Painstil (Mrs.) is the head of the Public Relations unit at the NCC, since April 2018. She holds Bachelor's degree in Administration and MBA in Human Resource management from the Methodist university College, Accra.

Mrs. Harriet Kumi-Boateng
Ag. Head of Human Resource Unit

PROFILE
Harriet Kumi-Boateng (Mrs.) is the acting Head of Human Resource Unit of the Commission on National Culture. She has an MBA in Human Resource Management from KNUST and BBA from the Christian Service University.

Mr. Socrate Sarfo
Director for Creative Arts

PROFILE
Mr. Socrate Safo is a Ghanaian Director, filmmaker, and Director for Creative Arts at the National Commission on Culture (NCC) in Ghana. He is a prominent figure in Ghallywood and head of Movie Africa Productions.
Mr. Safo was Public Relations Officer of the Film Producers Association of Ghana. In June 2017, Safo was appointed as Director for Creative Arts at the NCC. Previously, he had been working as Executive Secretary at the NCC.

Ms. Patricia Oppong-Agyeman
Acting Administrator

PROFILE
Ms. Patricia Oppong-Agyeman is the Acting Administrator with NCC since July 2019. The unit comprises Registry, Transport, Procurement, Security and Cleaners.
She has a degree in B. A Culture and Tourism as well a Master of Business Administration (MBA), both from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
